There is a Hadith from the prophet (s) which explains that the Arabs of Jahalia married for lineage, the Christians for love, the Jews for wealth, and the Musims marry for religion. I want to marry a woman who believes this completely. I believe in marriage for the reasons the prophet (s) described, to protect virtue, to provide a halal outlet for a natural urge, to place between a man and woman love and mercy, and to provide comfort for the heart. I am not a man of dunya. I do not make a lot of money, but I am content with what Allah provides. I am intelligent, creative, and friendly. I am a practicing Muslim, but I do not use words like “conservative” and “liberal.” To me these are political terms and have no place in Islam. I am not a “moderate” Muslim. Islam is a “moderate” religion. I take my faith very seriously, and would like to raise a family that does the same. I believe that the religion is compatible with itself, so the closer we stay to the religion the more compatible we will be. I love the rain. I love the outdoors.
